It's been a while since the last post, and hopefully your snow days have been pleasant! The sad part about the snow days is that we've had more than the allotted 5 days this year, therefore, we have calamity day assignments to complete. In order to show completion of the levels to the necessary level of mastery a printed copy of the score must be turned in. These printed scores will be due on Monday at the beginning of class. In the case of printer issues a screenshot of the scores may be emailed to me. If you need to know how to screenshot something please feel free to follow these links to learn about screenshots: Screenshot on PC or Screenshot on Mac.

Start with this game: Level L

Level 1 - You must complete this level with an 80% or better.

PowerSchool now has some future assignments, specifically surrounding the State Research Reports, so you can now see what parts of the Report are due on which days.

Updated Grades

Hi All,

Grades on PowerSchool are up to date as of 3:30 pm today and should include every assignment up through the States test that was passed back today.
As I told everyone in class today, the corrections on the test are due at the beginning of class on Friday. Corrections can be completed by anyone with a score of less than 30, and will earn back a half-point for each point missed on the test. In addition, a reminder that all students who received less than 80% (which means a score of less than 24) will need to come in tomorrow during recess to work on the abbreviations and capitals.

Have a great rest of the evening!

States Research Papers

Hi All!

The following list are the states chosen by each of the students for their research papers. Research will begin next Monday. Students should be seeking out a book (try to get a hold of one that is less than 5 years old) that they can use to aid them in their research efforts.

McKinnon – California
Emma – Maine
Oliva B.– Kentucky
Milo – Washington
Noah – Alaska
Olivia N.– Vermont
Nigel – California
Elijah – Washington
Cienna  – New York
Grace – Colorado
Sydney – Tennessee
Claire – Maryland
Mark – Nevada
Chase – New York
Katie – Ohio
Lenea – West Virginia
Riley – Alaska
Erin – Mississippi
Kobe – Florida
Zoey – Arizona
Chloe – Rhode Island
Marie – Hawaii
Allison – Hawaii

As I noted in class, there is a maximum allowance of two people per state and any changes to the desired state must be made by Friday, September 19 at 3:15pm.

**We'll talk about this more on Monday, but a great place to start researching is the state website for your state.
